Who: Light and Takada
When: um... last week sometime :D
What: Takada goes to Light's room for tea and a movie... And has another bad experience with movie watching...
Warnings: Light's a manipulative h0? :D

[23:31] kiraspokeswoman: Yagami-kun?
[23:31] raito justice: Takada-san
[23:31] kiraspokeswoman: Hello. How are you?
[23:32] raito justice: Quite well. I see you have had an interesting encounter
[23:32] kiraspokeswoman: It was rather frightening.
[23:32] raito justice: Indeed they are
[23:33] kiraspokeswoman: Have you met this Belphegor person?
[23:33] raito justice: Fortunately no
[23:35] kiraspokeswoman: You're lucky then... Though, someone named Ryuuzaki offered me a place to stay, if I preferred to get away from Bel.
[23:35] raito justice: Don't accept any of his offers. He seeks to destroy the work Kira has done.
[23:44] kiraspokeswoman: ... Does he?
[23:44] raito justice: He does.
[23:45] raito justice: There are several of his friends who also wish to stop the formation of a paradise
[23:45] kiraspokeswoman: ... Like who?
[23:46] raito justice: Fortunately they are not here at the moment, but their names are Matt, Mello, and Near, the worst being the last listed.
[23:46] kiraspokeswoman: Mello... I remember him...
[23:47] raito justice: They are all part of the Wammy house
[23:47] kiraspokeswoman: Mikami informed me that Mello was here. Is he actually not?
[23:47] kiraspokeswoman: That would please me
[23:47] raito justice: He was. He has since left
[23:48] kiraspokeswoman: Oh good. I am happy to hear that.
[23:49] kiraspokeswoman: Ryuuzaki is against you, then?
[23:50] raito justice: He is, although he pretends otherwise
[23:51] kiraspokeswoman: Oh... Alright. I shall keep that in mind. Luckily, I turned down his offer already.
[23:51] raito justice: Fortunately.
[23:51] raito justice: If you meet him in person, be mindful of his prying eyes
[23:52] kiraspokeswoman: Alright...
[23:53] raito justice: He will attempt to sway you against me, to fill your ears with lies, to attempt to retrieve information from you. Do not bend to his will.
[23:54] kiraspokeswoman: I will remain strong for you, Yagami-kun.
[23:58] raito justice: You never cease to impress me, Takada-san
[23:58] kiraspokeswoman: R-really?
[23:58] kiraspokeswoman: Why do you say that?
[00:02] raito justice: Your loyalty to creating a utopia is quite impressive.
[00:06] kiraspokeswoman: O-oh. Thank you. I would really like to see it happen though... And you know I am always on your side, willing to help you.
[00:06] raito justice: Together, we can make it happen.
[00:08] kiraspokeswoman: I believe you.
[00:08] kiraspokeswoman: Say... What are you doing right now?
[00:10] raito justice: Drinking tea. Perhaps you should join me.
[00:11] kiraspokeswoman: Oh... Really? I would love to. It will be nice to get off this floor. There are some frightening people down here.
[00:16] raito justice: Do come over then. We'll watch something sane.
[00:21] kiraspokeswoman: I shall be up soon.

Takada looked at the computer screen for another second or so, then got to her feet. She grabbed her things and headed to the door. She turned off the lights, then peeked outside her door to make sure that Bel wasn't standing outside waiting for her. When she was sure she was alone, she snuck out and headed for the stairs. Being on the floor was kind of a pain, since the elevators didn't come down this far. She walked up to the Cocytus deck, then went down the hall to C6. Running her fingers through her hair, she then knocked on the door. She wouldn't admit it, but she was slightly nervous to see Light again...

Light had prepared an extra cup of tea for her. Wrapping her around his finger was easy. At this point, she didn't know that Light had died at Ryuk's hand and Light planned to keep it that way. at least for now. He simply had to wait for her arrival.

After she knocked, she stepped back and waited for the door to open. Takada was pretty much kept in the dark about the events that had taken place... All she knew was that Mikami had died. And that, to her, was just too weird.

Light soon opened the door. He was wearing slacks, a button up shirt, and a red tie, no jacket, however. "Do come in," Light greeted her.

She flushed slightly, then regained her composure. She felt like it had been so long since she'd last seen him. It was like meeting him again after university. "Thank you," she said with a nod and walked in. His room was nicer than hers... ot that it bothered her... She looked back to him. "It's nice to see you again."

"Likewise," Light agreed, closing the door behind her. "It has been far too long." A comforting smile accompanied his words.

She smiled back. "It really has... You look well." The room was immaculate, which didn't surprise her at all. She wasn't really sure what to say. Light had that effect on her... She never knew quite what to say.

"As do you." Though he had no love interest in her, Light certainly knew how to speak as if he did.

Takada had to force herself not to blush at his words. Light had always been such a charmer. and she found it very difficult to be anything but happy when she was around him. Even after they had gotten back together after such a long time before coming to this place, she had tried to be mad at him, but just couldn't.

"Thank you, Yagami-kun."

He closed the door after her. "Please make yourself at home."

She nodded and moved over to the sofa. Taking a seat, she smiled and watched him. "I'm sorry if I'm intruding." She said, looking a little sheepish.

"If that were true, I wouldn't have invited you over," Light replied cunningly, handing her a cup of tea. He'd cleverly placed them on the table prior to her arrival.

"I... know, But..." she wasn't sure where she was going with that, so she stopped. Taking the teacup, she sipped her tea. "So tell me a little more about this place. I've heard a few things... Mostly just from you and Mikami."

"There's not much to know," Light replied. "The place is run by an injust dictator who finds sport in tormenting the residents who are stuck here." He stared at his teacup for a moment. "That is why we must overthrow him to create a utopia for the deserving residents of this ship and find our way home."

Takada nodded in agreement. So far, she didn't have any complains about this place... But she believed Light, and was more than willing to do whatever he asked. "A utopia... Isn't that what this place is supposed to be?" She thought to her neighbor... "You can't promise such a thing unless you only allow good people."

"It's a lie," Light replied. "Anyone is allowed to come. There are villainous types and mass murderers aboard. Do be careful of them."

She'd seen proof of that. "Why would they be allowed here?" Then she thought of this person called Ryuuzaki. "Tell me about this Ryuuzaki person... Who is he?"

"Ryuuzaki is better known as L, Eraldo Coil, and Daneuve. The world's three most famous detectives are all Ryuuzaki," Light explained. "He believes that what Kira does is wrong, that we are villanous, and he is very set on this ideal. He however does not know my identity as Kira and I plan to keep it that way. I have no plan in allowing him to interfere with our plans for a perfect world."

Takada blinked, and sipped her tea again. "L... I have heard of him. He seems so... friendly." she said, not really meaning anything by it. "But if he's against you, then I am against him." She leaned forward and set the cup down.

"He among several others who are not presently here," Light continued, taking a sip of tea. "If you must speak with them, simply feign friendship to avoid any suspicion."

"I shall. I just can't understand how anyone can be against Kira..." She shook her head in disbelief. "It doesn't make sense. Who wouldn't want a perfect world?" She asked that question to herself all the time, and was never able to find an answer...

"Is there anything you want me to do now?" She asked, picking her teacup back up.

That was something that even Light couldn't answer. "Right now, our best plan of action is to find out who the just are and who are not. There is no police force here, so there are many unjust people. When we establish the new world, those who are good will be saved."

"Alright..." It seemed silly, but she still wondered... "Do you still have the Death Note?"

"It's safe," Light stated, taking a sip of tea. In truth, Ryuuk had the note, but technically, so did Near. And besides, if push came to shove, Light would be slick about it and present the fake note he'd made the prior year to entertain the previous L. "But now is not the time to use it. Not yet." He'd twist her around his finger if she asked why. It was far too easy and enjoyable.

"Why is that?" She was curious. And she hoped that she didn't sound accusing... It just seemed so strange that he wouldn't use it.

"This isn't Tokyo or even the earth," Light replied. "We need a different approach for this place. The people here are afraid, afraid of the unknown or hesitant to reach out for an ideal world. They are good people but latch onto the Captain in belief that he is a good person. We must find a way to detach these people and lead them in the right direction. They are deserving of the paradise, just as you and me."

She thought about what he said and nodded. It all made sense. And she was willing to help Light in any way possible. "I understand... I suppose I could start... rallying people against the captain?" she suggested. "With your okay, of course." she added.

"Slowly," Light instructed. "Most are hesitant to let go." He took a sip of tea, then added, "Do not alert the Captain."

Alert the captain... Light talked as if he was omnipotent... "Yes... Of course... I'll try my best to be discreet about this. I wouldn't ever want to do anything that would ruin our chances for a perfect world... Or that would get you in trouble."

"Mostly try not to raise any suspicion in L," Light added. "We do not need him interfering with the plan." Light wasn't truly afraid of the Captain or of L, he just hated both with a vengeful passion.

L was going to be a difficult person to avoid. At least that was the feeling she got. "I'll try my best. I won't let anyone know about this." L seemed to be the suspicious type anyway though... She knew that already, just from the first comment she'd gotten from him when she arrived.

"Good." Light knew that she was loyal beyond all reason. This was far too easy.

"I can tell Mikami though, can't I?" Takada couldn't imagine why not, but she had to make sure she was doing everything right.

"He knows what he needs to," Light replied. Mikami had already been briefed on the situation. "Speaking with him would perhaps be wise, as well."

"He is my neighbor... speaking with him will be easy." She finished her tea, and set the cup down. "Yagami-kun, I'm very happy to be here with you." She said, lacing her fingers together and setting her hands in her lap.

A soft smile spread across his face. It was false, but to everyone else it was convincingly real. "I'm very glad that you have found your way here. I thought that I wouldn't see you for a very long time."

"Thank you... I thought the same. But I'm glad our time apart was short lived." His words made her happy. And she couldn't help but be excited every time he spoke to her like that...

"Thankfully." Of course Light hadn't said how long he'd been here, but that was for another story.

"Have you been here long? I know Mikami has been here a few months now..." She wondered.

"Somewhat," Light replied vaguely. "But it was too long to be without you."

"O-oh." This time, she couldn't help but blush. She looked down in an attempt to hide her reddened face behind her bangs. "Yagami-kun..."

"I speak only the truth," he added.

"I-I know. Thank you... It means so much..." She was almost at a loss for words. Light always had this effect on her.

He smiled softly. "Perhaps a movie now would be suitable."

She looked up. "A movie? I like that idea... What do you have in mind?" Hopefully not the same kind of things Bel liked to watch...

"Something soft and calm," Light suggested. He didn't have much of a selection, unfortunately. Most of them belonged to Misa, namely chick flicks and a few raunchy movies.

She smiled over at Light. "That sounds lovely. What do you have?" She'd never watched a movie with him... And she wondered what kind of movies he had...

"My current collection consists of...." well he couldn't quite tell her that they all belonged to Misa. That would kill it. ".... soft movies, romantic comedies, mostly. I must admit, I rather enjoy the softer movies at times." In truth, he couldn't stand them.

In reality, Takada couldn't stand them either, but if it was what Light liked to watch, then she would gladly watch it with him. Though, she did enjoy a romantic comedy every now and then... "Well, they're your movies... So I think it's really up to you, Yagami-kun."

"I've watched them all," Light stated, "please, be my guest." He felt like he was in one of those cheesy movies with the cheesy lines. He inwardly cringed.

She was silent for a moment, trying to decide what to watch. "Well... We can watch one of your romantic comedies... If that sounds good to you." Really, she didn't care as long as she was here.

Light scanned the movies. He didn't really care either way and randomly picked one from the set, popping it into the player.

Takada watched Light for a moment, then turned her attention to the TV. It was a movie she hadn't seen before... Since she never really paid much attention to movies back home.

Light sat back on the couch next to Takada. Hopefully this movie wouldn't fail him. It was one he'd watched before.

Takada had a very strange feeling as she watched some of the previews that had come on the screen... They were certainly very questionable... But she shrugged it off. People made weird movies all the time...

And the music was extremely corny...

... Wait a minute. Takada blinked a few times then looked to Light. "...Um... Yagami-kun? I-is this a... porno?"

Light dropped his teacup. He should have known that Misa would hide her porn in the regular dvds. He quickly grabbed the remote and flipped to the tv. "That was not what was supposed to be in that box. Perhaps TV is more suitable."

If she had been embarrassed at any point in the night, it was certainly nothing compared to how embarrassed she was now. It was hard to imagine Light... owning something like that.

"Y-yes... I think you may be right..."

"I'll simply have to take that back to the store tomorrow," Light added, covering up his embarrassment. He noted the broken cup on his floor. "More tea?" he inquired, standing up, picking up the pieces from the floor. "Choose what you wish on tv." It was best she chose.

"More tea would be lovely.... Thank you." She picked up the remote and started flipping through channels. Anything would be better to at least mask the awkwardness that had settled in the room. She finally stopped on a police drama on one of the channels and decided to stay on that.

Light soon returned with a fresh cup for her and a new cup for himself. That was a good choice, a show about justice and ideals. He handed the tea cup to her.

"Thanks." She said, taking the cup from him. She sipped the tea and watched the TV. She liked these kinds of shows, but they always seemed so obvious to her... After the movie incident, though, she wasn't really sure what to say.

Light stayed silent too. These people on the show were so stereotypical. If the shows worked the way he chose, he'd simply write in the death note and be done with it. But that wasn't going to work here. He didn't have a note and managed to hide that fact from pretty much everyone so far.

"These shows are unrealistic." She said after a few moments, looking over at Light finally. "Entertaining, but silly. Don't you think?" Maybe if they got to talking again, this uneasy feeling could be set aside.

"Indeed they are," Light agreed. "They do serve for some entertainment."

"It's not how I would do things... But..." She mused as she drank her tea. She didn't bother asking Light what he thought on the matter. She already knew.

"I do believe this show is a bit older when justice was not as defined," Light stated. It most likely was, one which didn't understand the justice of Kira. Then again, that didn't make for an interesting police drama.

"That's true, I suppose." Kira was a new thing, obviously newer than this show. "It's still pretty interesting, though..."

"It does show how much progress the world has made since justice has been redefined," Light agreed, taking a sip of tea.

"Indeed. As misunderstood as our idea is..." Takada said, setting down her cup.

"Some do misunderstand it, especially here," Light agreed with a light sigh. "The people here do not understand what sort of peace and justice we can bring. They shall soon know the truth in time. We simply cannot rush, lest they try to resist what is best for them.

Takada smiled, and turned slightly so she was facing Light. "It will be glorious... Though I can't understand not wanting your utopia, Yagami-kun... As long as people aren't bad, they have nothing to fear. Why is that so wrong?"

"Some people fear change," Light explained. "These are not unjust people, simply those who do not understand change. In time, they will see the truth."

"Well... I guess that makes sense..." She straightened up and gave Light a serious look. "We need to show these people how much better this place would be with you in charge." And Takada totally believed that.

"Yes," Light agreed. It would take time and planning, and most likely a lot of deception.

"I'm behind you 100%, Yagami-kun. Anything you need, I'll be happy to help..." She told him.

"Good, your assistance will greatly aid our cause," Light agreed, smiling softly. He took his hand from his lap and placed it upon hers. "And it's good to have you by my side, especially."

Her eyes snapped to their hands and lingered there for a moment, then she looked back up to Light's face. "I'll do my best, for you."

He smiled. He had her hooked. This was perfect.

Takada smiled back at him and placed her other hand on top of his, so certain that Light was being totally honest with her. She never doubted him for a moment. "Just tell me when."

"I will let you know," Light said softly.

"Thank you, Yagami-kun." She responded in the same manner. She was so happy at this moment.
