helpthesouth was created on Saturday, April 30th, 2011, as a place for fandomers to help raise money to help in the rescues, recoveries and rebuilding of the southern states and especially Alabama following the tragic series of tornadoes that ripped through the area on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
