1. Name five high ranking Democrats (gov/pres/senate/house/etc) who you could see youself voting for.
Barrack Obama, Mike Ross, Dennis Cardoza, Robert Berry, John McCain
That was fucking hard...
2. If you were Barb for a day, which OSCR employee would you fire first?
That's a damn tough call to make -- so many people should be let go! Honestly, from a pure business perspective, I have often questioned what Catherine actually did. She'd probably have to go. I liked Catherine, but I felt her doings totally fell flat.
3. What is the strongest memory you have about me in middle school?
Dude that's totally easy -- remember when we'd rent and play Mario Party all the time. That was totally badass. I also really like how well we got along in Bloomquist's class in 8th grade. That was bitchin'.
4. Name one person from VHS you hope to never run into again. (catch: no ex-girlfriends)
That one is easy (sans the catch). I really hope I never run into Christian Jones again. I've never met a person who lied and schemed as much as him.
5. Why, in 1000 words or less, are Half-Life mods infinitely better than that Halo garbage on X-box?
I could give you one word: innovation. Half-Life was the first FPS that had a coherent and compelling story line that carried you through the game. Valve was also quite dedicated to the community, and delivered a plethora of easy to use development tools. Hence the creation of mods like CS and DoD. The mods for Half-Life create a departure from the original game, allowing someone to enjoy an excellent single player game, then trying their hand at so many incredibly done mods. Also, things like PVK just made lan gaming damn fun early in the morning. The simple truth is that there is a mod for Hlaf-Life for just about every type of combat you could imagine - from hack and slash pirates, to revolutionary war, to space aged marines fighting aliens; you won’t find that variety (with the same good quality) anywhere else. Furthermore, the sequel, Half-Life2 not only kicks ass, it's better than the original. It's not some dingy extension to Half-Life, like Halo2 is to Halo -- it's probably the best single player FPS ever made. What about Halo? For starters, Halo and Halo2 brought nothing innovative to the FPS genre. Extremely repetitive level design dressed up with bump mapping is not new. Vehicles? Halo was far from the first FPS that implemented vehicles. Remember driving the tank in GoldenEye on 64? Yeah, I do too. I was enjoying robust multiplayer far before Halo hit the scene with, you guessed it, Half-Life and mods. There, word says it's 247 words :)
Comment with something pithy and I'll ask you five questions. Post the answers in your own damn journal.
