elections...
i'm not going to gloat, because that would be retarded. but i am pleasently suprised by the results of the presidential.
i am however upset with the house and senate. i am a big supporter for the whole checks and balances thing, and we no longer have that, by a fairly large margin. i should suppossedly be happy about this since i'm republican, but i'm not. even the best people can go corrupt when they aren't held in check, and i don't think anyone in politics can be counted as the "best people," regardless of their political affiliation.
however, i think there are some level headed republicans who will vote against their party if they think everything is going to hell in a handbasket, and that is a comforting thought.
we shall see where the world takes us in the next four years...
