Are there any current or erstwhile McDonald's employees reading this? Same here. I've given them more than one chance, but with all that skin and so little meat, they just seem like a waste to me.

Actually, I think part of the enjoyment is derived from how long it takes to pick apart the bones and eat the little bits of meat. Chinese meals tend to be prolonged affairs and chicken feet are a perfect food to slowly munch on while holding a long conversation.

I'd never thought of that side of it. I'm a fan of slow and relaxing meals, so next time I'm in China, I won't reject the feet!

They make a good broth though. The things you learn as a hungry graduate student in the 'random organ' and 'not the best but still a good buy' sections!

all you need to do is to pressure cook it to utter tenderness to get rid of the rubbery texture; henceforth it's snackable, promise. so easy to separate the bones from the flesh with a little tongueplay.
