Me and K decided to evacuate our home today due to flooding. I don't think it's going to be very bad, but the bridges out of town are at risk, and we didn't want to get stuck if things got really deep. So here I am at the folks' house. THank you. We didn't get any water at all, that I can tell. The flooding wasn't as bad as we were lead to expect. Thank goodness.

Thanks hon! We did much better than expected, and I took a lorazepam before bed (and my parents have the MOST comfortable extra bed at there house. I almost like it better than my TempurPedic.). So I slept well, and woke up early. :) We're home now, and everything is mercifully dry.

The kitties are dry. The house is dry. The yard is...smooshy. All is well. Thank the Lord.

Some people really got it bad. My neighborhood was lucky this time, though. But driving home this morning, we could see how high the rivers were and got an idea of how much property damage occurred in the area. Scary. I hope everyone had flood insurance.
