Je suis ici, vraiment!
I am, actually, still alive. This may come as a suprise, and to some as a disappointment. But there it is anyway :)
What's my excuse? I got a new horse :) One that's actually mine, for the summer at least. I don't have to share her, or do what the owner says, or get kicked off just as we're getting somewhere because the owner wants the horse back to show off the pretty themselves. It's costing me, and it's only for the summer, but I am so seriously happy.
She's a 17.1 bay Hungarian Warmblood mare, 9 years old and gorgeous. Her movement is amazing, so we should clean up at Training Level in our first show the July long weekend. Which is the 1st, for Canada Day ;) When she first came off the trailer she tried to kick me in the head, but since then she's changed her mind and decided I'm the best thing ever, which is good ;) She's still the terror of the barn to everyone else, though. They feed her from over the stall door ;)
She's a lot of horse, and it takes all I've got to stay on her when she decides to be bad, but... dude. I'm so happy right now I just can't tell you :)
I've been trying to catch up with y'all, but it's a bit of a losing battle. Please point me to fics or anything else that I should see, in case I miss it. I notice that quite a few of you have been indoctrinated by Supernatural while I was gone - woohoo! Shoutout, pretty boys!
I was going to do my civic duty and make sure my age was entered in an attempt to make LJ stats more accurate... and then was like oh. *facepalm* Never mind.
I'll try to keep up a bit more, but no promises, I'm afraid. Work's insane, 7 days a week, and the show is looming.
