So, you may not have noticed but yesterday's LJ Writer's Block comment was -
"How do you celebrate Independence Day in your country?"

While I understand and appreciate Independence Day as an important American public holiday the short answer is *most* people in other countries don't celebrate it (or any other) Independence Day. We do have Australia Day which is in the middle of summer and we generally get drunk and eat ourselves into a stupor, does that count??
