This past week back has been exhausting. It's sunny outside, despite myself spending the past 2 hours in the tech center, 1 1/2 of which consisted of scanning part 2 of my polaroids. Thank god I won't have to do that again. It needed to be done though. I woke up around 11ish, sat around for a while, made some food then went out. I don't have a lot planned, though I hope Tito will bring over the Living End tonight so we can watch it. The tech center is completely dead being the first weekend back. Yesterday was pretty gorgeous. Mike and I went to the park for a short time then down to South Street.
I have to look over French homework then I'm not sure what I'm doing next. I can't look at photographs anymore, it's hurting my brain. I read my readings for Global Cities and English so at least I have that over with.
I really need to get my financial aid check soon because I need to pay my rent and my power bill at the end of the month. How about I remembered that I'm saving a ton of money not living in the dorms, EVEN IF I don't spend the summer here. Like around 1,200 for a totally larger, more appealing place. And with the meal plan another like $500. Okay, yeah, it doesn't have quite the perks of living on campus, but I live really close. Someone was shot at the local Crown chicken in a fight two days ago, that's kind of spooky. Apparently someone was shot there last year too. That's north Philly though..
I went to Last Drop again yesterday. It's just not the same as the Beehive. It closed at freaking 8 PM for some reason yesterday, on like, a Friday. I really need to check out other coffee houses, including the ones much further out of Center City.
Right now I'm sort of in a fix though because of the whole non-getting the check yet. Mike's looking for a new job, so that's good at least. I will need a job also when the Ceiba thing runs up, which totally sucks because they only give me like $550 worth of work, which is only about 68 hours of work.
I need to find a roomate and an apartment in Pittsburgh. I'd live with as many people as I'd have to as long as they were all decent people. I have two locations in mind, South Oakland and Southside. That's where I really want to live, and really, it's not much more than living where I am now. That, and there's actually stuff going on...
Anyway, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm going to go home probably soon to make a liner (lunch/dinner, pronounced leaner) with some Chinese sauce flavored tofu and some pasta that we got yesterday. I had hummus for the first time in a long time and it was fabulous. Tomorrow I want to go to the library and the museum. I really like the Philadelphia art museum.
I also have been on AIM today talking to two people. I really want to go exploring outside, but despite it's beautiful, sunny appearance, it's very freaking cold out there. Well, not very cold, but cold. I went to the tech center today so I wouldn't have to be cold in my house, since we're not turning it up to save money on the bill.
Um, yeah. I think I'm going to end this here. I'm super hungry and there's not much going on today. It's really a rest day for me after an exhausting, semi-hectic week. This semester I really want to try to get to classes on time, after being late due to the whole my backpack/not saving in the right place on the school computers and printing my essay. I need to pretend in my mind classes start at the "30" instead of "40", because I always run a little late unless I do this....
I'm going to write some letters soon, after looking over some French. When I get my aid check I have so much stuff to get, including a new phone (finally), joining this honors society, and more food. I'm sure when that happens a lot more wll be going on, since I'll be finally able to get essentials. My roomate's parents came today so I wonder if they left the house yet. They're okay, but parents in my home sort of is a freaky thing to think about..that's all. So, later later!
