Chapter 1: The Core

Above Ari 4, the stars shone brightly, sending their amience towards rippling clouds of gas, illuminating planets and nebulae, and passing ships between various universal realms. Ari 4 gleamed brightly in the reflective gaze of the System's sun; From space, the brilliant white icecaps glared, subduing the massive specks of brown badlands ( Read more... )

Terra chuckled, skrunching her nose up. She toyingly played with her dogtags for a moment, staring at Dreamer with an unusally giddy expression, before continuing.

"Right on."

Dreamer has learned Assault Rifles

"Well, seeing as you prefer straight up destruction, let me offer you a few of my favorite toys." Terra hopped lively into a nearby chair, kneeling on the torn seat cushion, and dug into her heaping pile of armaments.

She removed a compact blue-grey rifle from the mass, and cradled it in her arms.

"A RX Standard Issue Assault Rifle. Good weapon. Accurate and reliable. " The ship ricketed, the otuer hull making an insidiously discomforting noise. "...Unlike some people's piloting skills." Terra added, giving a nasty glare at the Com-Link.

"This would mosta likely suit ya." Terra said, obviously enjoying herself.

"I also have several others, if ya want."

Dreamer happily took the rifle into her hands with a nod of thanks, getting a feel for the weapon right away. Her eyes danced along the barrel, the brace, and most importantly, the clip. It seemed to come to her instantly how to be able to use the weapon, but something more was needed.

"That RPG launcher of yours," Dreamer pointed to the stockpile. "It should prove very useful down on the field as well, incase we run into some very large trouble."

Dreamer tightened the straps on her kimono so it would go up a bit higher on her body, that way she had no problem what so ever sliging the RX-Assault Rifle over her shoulder. She also hoisted the RPG with realative ease, but just laid it at her feet first.

"What is next?" She asked.

Dreamer is taking the RX Assault Rifle, and the RPG. Weight=5

Terra attaches the heavy cylinder to a sling, and draws close to Dreamer, placing it over her shoulders. For a moment, she says nothing, inhaling deeply. Dreamer twitches uncomfortably...

"Hm. I suppose you'll need ammo..." Terra says, biting her lip. Terra waltzes forward, snagging a box of munition casings from under the cluttered tabletop.

She rummages around, cursing under her breath for a few moments.

Dreamer recieves six 30-shot Automatic Rifle Clips, Standard Ammo. Dreamer also recieves three 3-shot RPG Casings, Standard Explosive Grenade Ammo.

Terra pulls out the ammo, holding several clips in her mouth. She struggles over to Dreamer, and spills the lot inside of a ragged pack. She drags a small BDU package over towards Dreamer's feet.

The wall behind Terra houses a small family of electronical supplies. Terra slinks a rough hand through a headset, and stuffs it into Dreamer's silken hand.

Finally, with a demented smirk, She reaches into a grease covered shop-bag, hanging sloppily from the corner of the table, and pulls out a few packaged rations.

Dreamer recieves Winter BDU (15% armor 2 Cold Protection), 3 Rations and a Lvl 1 OP-SAT.

"Alright," Terra pants, out of breath. "I think yer done fer now. Have a seat, and we'll get the rest of this group ready..."

Dreamer sat back down with all of her supplies and began steadily working away in preperation while the others did the same.

"Keep yourself calm," She spoke out lightly, inspecting her weapons. "Nothing worse than become over zealous before the mission actually starts. That is when the first mistakes are made. A very close friend taught me that."

She thumbed through the clip in her rifle, making sure the bullets were the right kind, and in great condition. Nothing worse than a faulty bullet ruining a perfectly good gun. Likewise, Dreamer also made sure the RPG launcher was clean and the three RPGs that it had inside of it were ready to be fired.

"Everything checks out," She eased back in her seat. "Now all we have to do is wait for the right moment."
