Kyoka Suigetsu is sly.
She rarely tells the truth, taking delight in deceit and elaborate lies. Her master and his schemes please her; she is his constant confidante, and he returns the attention in kind.
"I told you," she whispers in Aizen's ear, wrapping her arms around his neck from behind, "I told you I could help you. I would do anything for you, Sousuke..."
She is a shapeshifter, but takes on human form the most, her beauty hiding the disgusting creature she truly is. Aizen knows this.
"I know. You are my only friend here, after all," Aizen murmurs in return. "The only one I care about... Kyoka."
Friends? They are not friends, that is certain. Aizen has no need for friends. He uses people; he does not care for them. Kyoka wants even less: she has no need even for tools, caring only for herself.
But Aizen, Kyoka reflects, is an amusing plaything. And Kyoka, Aizen knows, is a useful tool.
They speak only lies to one another... but each knows the other's thoughts in perfect clarity.
Their relationship is their only sincerity.
