Today I went out. I went to Kochin mangroove forest and bird sanctuary - a small territory of mangroove area. You can spend little time there though because there is no place to walk, just 20 metres here and there - it's all mashy land. There is a nice view point though. I talked to a man who was there. He is from Bangalore. He said birds from a lot of countries come here to breed. And if you are a bird-watcher you need to have much patience - to wait and see some bird. Meanwhile we saw a couple of interesting species. Though you cannot see much of the birds you can constantly hear various cries and the air is good not like in the busy Ernakulam.
Hordes of bats. Luckily asleep at daytime.
