So, I would normally not post something about RL here, nor would I be excited about something like this, but I found myself squealing ever since they said it was about the nextgen: and if you know me, you know what a huge nextgen dork I am.

That means I'm going back to London next summer and I get to see tons of friends that I haven't seen

Also, ready made food doesn't have to be a disaster, I got a precooked half duck for 2.40£, finished roasting it in the oven, voila! (It was originally 9£, but here they don't like throwing food away so they'll reduce it massively the day before it goes off). Green vegetables aren't fantastic most of the time, but you can get lucky with 1£ bowls in street shops or super organic supermarkets, or Aldi (who has a thing for Italian food, actually). I don't think you're going to get fresh fruit and vegs of summer Italian quality, but maybe that's because I don't have the stomach to pay for what those things are worth. 1£ avocados are just not as enjoyable as 0.20 avocados, I'm afraid, especially because I don't have any proof they are any *better* (the 0.20 avocados ocassionally are not in optimal states even when they appear to be, but since it's just 0.20...) Also, tubercles tend to be great here because they are more suited to the weather, just one word: Parsnips.
I think the issue of readymade food is that a lot of people give into their laziness, but, for me, most of it tastes awful so except for some pie here and there, I cook from scratch (I've recently even found a good butchers where meat doesn't look plastified! :) Maybe you can resist the Starbucks temptation by looking at your bank account? XD. I used to indulge ocassionally when I was an au pair, but now I just go to Waitrosse, where with a member's card (free) you get a free cup of coffee/tea every time you visit. John Lewish does you one better and gives you a free piece of cake + drink every month of the year for getting their membership card. And, I mean, sure, decadent chocolate cake is not very healthy, but it's once a month, right? And, technically you can use the money you save to buy fresh handpicked tomatoes so this still counts as helpful advice.
I kinda want to email JK and tell her to please continue writing other books and stop stomping all over our playground. She wrote the epilogue SPECIFICALLY to avoid sequels, she SAID so herself.
A lot of the reading I do is audiobook listening, so I guess that helps my eyes not fall out and my speed look impressive. But yeah, I've an addictive personality and obsession with words so it's probably a good thing I can't add fanfic to GR or you'd unfriend me for spamming.
I've always wanted to do NaNoWriMo but I'm kinda in the middle of several things instead of having any new projects I want to start so...
