So, I really couldn't resist.. I saw this and had to do it! It's a very good excuse to write something in my journal too, after only 54 weeks from my first and last post here.. So, here you are, that was great fun, I haven't it beta-read, but I hope it's quite fine anyway.
1. What was the first fic you ever wrote?
That’s an easy one.
Her Past, Her Present and Her Future, a R/Hr multi-chaptered story that got me more faves and reviews than any other one I’ve written, despite the fact that is the worst thing I’ve ever authored.
2. What's your most recent work?
The Seven Deadly Sins, my first NC-17 piece of work ever.
3. What do you think you're best at (genre, style, theme)?
Characterization and preventing melodrama. If you want to ruin my day just tell me that the characters are OOC and that’s it. I’ll cry my eyes out.
4. What would you like to be better at?
Grammar, word order, vocabulary, punctuation. Everything that gives away that I’m not an English mother-tongue.
5. Which of your works do you think best represents you as a writer?
But Thy Eternal Summer Shall Not Fade. Because I took the time to think carefully about every aspect of the story as if it was a real book. Oh yes! and still I can’t manage to get half the reviews I received for
Her Past, Her Present and Her Future.
6. What's your favourite story you've ever written?
I Will Remember You, I was so happy when I noticed that I had made a H/Hr story believable! Even if someone told me that an impossible love story always sounds believable if I kill off all the characters who are in the way (Ron and Ginny R.I.P.)…
7. What's your favourite scene/chapter you've ever written?
I think “Envy” from
The Seven Deadly Sins. I don’t know why but, once I was done, I had the distinct feeling that it was perfect. I know, it’s quite presumptuous, but I couldn’t help thinking it.
8. What's your favourite passage or line you've ever written?
Wow, well… my memory isn’t exactly so much developed as to let me remember every single line I’ve written in the last five years, but I guess I really like the last paragraph from
I Will Remember You:
“They could have stayed there forever. Everything they needed was on their side, and a new beginning was waiting for them. No thoughts, no worries on their path. Just their love, and that was the most powerful thing that they had.”
9. Have you ever written something that you found really upsetting, that you almost couldn't bring yourself to write?
No, if I don’t like something I usually don’t write it. I write for necessity, for pleasure and as a challenge, and since nobody forces me, I write what I want.
10. Which (if any) of your works represents a departure from your usual style, you taking a risk and trying something new? Do you think it worked?
Goodbye My Lover, the very first time that I tried to write a song-fiction, and yes, I think it came out pretty well, even if song-fictions are not exactly my cup of tea. Oh! and
The Seven Deadly Sins, my first NC-17, which, by the way, is coming out better than most of my PG stories.
11. Who's your favourite character to write? Who do you think you write best?
Hermione to both of the questions above.
12. Name five things that typically characterize your work.
Romance (with some sexual tension), Hermione, fairly good characterization, quite a lot of introspection, some angst.
13. List the projects you're working on right now or have coming up in the near future.
*I* am working on
The Seven Deadly Sins, struggling to get “Wrath” done; “It Were a Grief so Brief to Part With Thee”, struggling to find the time to go on with that; and “Je T’Aime, Je Te Hais” which is my first fan-fiction in French (these last two are not yet published on the net). My beta-reader is working on
But Thy Eternal Summer Shall Not Fade. =)
14. How do you think your writing has changed since you first started?
I think it improved dramatically. You can go and read
Her Past, Her Present and Her Future and then
The Seven Deadly Sins and you’ll be amazed at how different they are. It doesn’t even look like they are both from the same author (read: me!).
15. Describe yourself as a writer in five words or less.
Unable to write in Italian. (Yay! Exactly five!)
16. Links to any archives or websites where you have your work.
