Charleston: Day 1

Jul 26, 2006 03:24

So today I watched Clerks II for the fourth time. I should get some sort of recognition from Kevin Smith, except I don't have to pay for movies so that sort of deminishes the accomplishment.

Ashley and I then went down town to get tickets for a walking ghost tour. After paying for the tickets for the 9:30PM tour (we needed the ambiance of darkness, thought it would be more affective) we found this bar that used to be an episcopel church and had a few. Happy hour ran till 8 and drafts were 2$. "What a bargain!"

After having our fill at the bar and getting into another one of those introspective conversations that we're famouse for (we think too much) we hurried to the fountain where the walking tour was supposed to meet. Ok, is anyone aware that Kurt Russel moonlights as a tour guide in Charleston? We were surprised. The ghost stories, whether true or not, had an interesting history behind them none the less.

I think tomorrow we're just going to walk through the old historic distict. The architecture and history that unfolds on the plaquards around town are interesting enough.

We got back to the hotel hit the pool and then smoked a cigar in the hot tub while discussing religion, politics and conspiracy theory. Until today I never noticed how interesting the SC state flag was. See if you can figure out why. If you figure it out I'm impressed.

tard, i'm t-a-r-d
