So how many of you love Robin McKinley? For me, it was The Blue Sword that did me in. At this point I own several of her books and the rest are on my Christmas list. Mmmm.
Anyway, she does change-ringing for a hobby (it's English bell-ringing--you know, like in The Nine Tailors, the Lord Peter Wimsey mystery). And her home tower's bells need a lot of restoration. To that end, she's running an auction of signed books, posters, doodles (these are hilarious. Go look even if you're not interested in buying), etc..
