Today was my first day of vacation. I know, you must be thinking... but you've been out of school the entire summer. Ah, but I've been working full time. I've decided to take the next two weeks off, and today was the first day of that period.
That's not to say that I won't be working at all between now and when school starts (a week and a half!!), but I will be working considerably less.
Been feeling a bit like Miniver Cheevy as of late. But my mind has been slowly returning to the present. I need to start being satisfied in my own life rather than pining for another. Today helped quite a bit. Slept in. Went to the RSF, which was deserted and very pleasant. Ran some errands. Did some reading. Played. And went to see March of the Penguins with Angie. It was awesome. I highly recommend it.
I can't believe school starts in a week and a half. Sort of looking forward to it. It's been nice around campus without so many people. But at the same time it has been slightly lonely. It'll be nice to see more people, return to class, and do something more interesting than filing and data entry. On the other hand I'll be unhappy with the school work. I've grown accustomed to coming home and being able to play guilt free (well, almost entirely guilt free - Stupid GRE).
Ah, anyway. A random entry for a somewhat random day. And I say goodnight.
