no more compromising
this past week wasn't exactly the best way to start the new year. i guess i am truly tiring of certain trivial things that i used to enjoy before. it's hard when you've always wanted to live your life a certain way, but that way is... and i quote al pacino from scent of a woman-- too damned hard. it's always hard to stay on the straight and narrow road, always hard to commit yourself to the higher cause. as the saying goes, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." you always mean well, always set out with lofty ideals, yet a compromise and a half later, you're slowly slipping into perdition.
anyhow, here's a toast to 2007 (even if i'm sort of 9 days late). here's to another year of striving to live the impossible dream, striving to be a modern knight-errant, with a song on his lips, his love by his side, and his faith in his heart. may we all be whom we like to think we are.
