Two Years in the Making...
It has been (almost) two years since my last posting. Why? Job, Bicycles, Coffee Beans, Life, Love.
The job part has been the big issue... not being able to access LJ at work seriously cuts into one's ability to keep up on it. At least MY ability to keep up on it.
But not to fear, I quit that job this week. My last day is July 25th. You may be asking yourself, "Self, I wonder what's next for Dave?" And the answer is in the works, but as of now, I don't have a good answer to that question, much to the chagrin of my wife. I'm looking at a few options, and Julie and I are hoping to get one or two of our houses sold... (heh... that makes us sound like real estate magnets!).
It's a very surreal experience to be told that the company you have worked for, for three and a half years is interviewing your replacement. I'm not sure I took it as poorly as I should have. No shouting, no anger. Just a resignation letter.
I'm looking forward to the next step in my professional career, though step one is a new polish on the ol' resume.
