Birthday Drabbles, they come in pairs

I offered birthday drabbles and she accepted. So, here we go:

She collapses onto the bed. It’s never been like this. He holds her as she falls. There are butterfly kisses everywhere. A feeling deep inside her stirs, but she can’t speak it aloud. She can’t even say his name, or else it might break the spell. Instead, he calls out for her.
“Inara.”
Kaylee’s voice brings her back to reality, reminding her of the promise to do her hair.
“You looked distracted. Were you having naughty fantasies about the Cap’n?” she teases.
Inara is a professional, and therefore she’s unfazed. She does not blush or stutter.
“Not in this lifetime.”

As she sighs and stretches out, his hands move down her stomach. She can hear that damned smug smile in his voice.
“Yer purrin’ there pussycat.”
She ignores her growing arousal and fires back.
“You should've shaved. You feel like sandpaper.”
He starts kissing her all over, knowing how much she loves his stubble against her sensitive skin.
She gasps as she feels him against the inside of her thighs. She tries desperately to sound unaffected, even as her hands clutch the sheets. “You should shave that beard.”
She can already hear that damned smugness again.
