In an attempt to not get royally screwed over by LJ (at least any more than I have) I've deleted all of my galleries from my scrapbook. It would seem that the 'Scrapbook' function might just be becoming a lot less reliable (aka tied to the photo albums of FB). It's been down lately leading me to believe tinkerage is happening. I wanted to reclaim what is mine - as in I posted it so it's under my control - before it was 'enhanced' by the new joint venture known as the-unholy-black-hole-at-the-center-of-the-universe-stealing-all-light-and-sucking-in-all-junk-from-the-surrounding-space-and-not-contributing-to-a-safe-and-healthy-environment-for-its-users Live-Face-Twit.
I blame this fully on the extensive tinkering going on to surgically graft LJ, FB, and Twitter (and every other social network app) together at the molecular level.
I know that many are staying with LJ in hopes that things will get better or are just comfortable here and I won't argue their logic. It's their journal and their decision. I myself was really torn on the issue of moving my journal. There are soooo many friends and comms here that I just adore. For me this situation just frosts my cookies - that someone who takes my money thinks they can do whatever they want to my anonymity on this site and then has the gall to be 'shocked' when I react negatively.
