The Hobbit Trailer
So, the Hobbit trailer. I simply have to mention it here, though I wish I had had time on the day it was released. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited by it. To hear Richard Armitage singing (and then the rest of the dwarves), and then to see Galadriel looking so elvish and otherworldly, it just gave me delicious chills, as Anne would probably put it.
My brain is having a hard time with Martin Freeman as Bilbo... and it has nothing to do with not liking him for the character - far from it. It's just, there are moments where things he says or actions he does that remind me so much of him on Sherlock, that it feels like Dr. Watson fell into Middle Earth. My brain just has a hard time dealing with things like that sometimes - takes me a long while to get used to it.
It's great seeing Galadriel, Gandalf, old!Bilbo, and Frodo, again... though there's so much a part of me that wishes we could have all the major LOTR characters back - even if it was just a short glimpse. I know it's not part of the story, but I want more Aragorn and Arwen and Eowyn! (And yes, part of that is the greedy icon maker/lover in me.)
I can't wait until I have some time to download some screencaps and make icons/layouts from it. Christmas preparations are keeping me too busy or I'd do it now.
I don't want to wait a year to see it. That is just too cruel!
