What a gorgeous weekend! It was a good one.
Jenny came over Saturday, and after chowing on pizza a relaxing for a bit, we went out and hit the trails. We hiked the powerlines up and down, and just enjoyed the gorgeous weather and the view from the top of the hill. After we got back, we chilled for a while, goofed off, and watched the last two discs of TTGL, cheering all the way. Feeling pumped up after that, we played a little Rock Band, then somehow ended up watching the last half of Snow White on TV. Lol. After she left, I stayed up and watched FMA before going to bed.
Sunday... I went tv shopping with dad.
Short story: I'VE GOT A NEW SPIFFY HONKIN' TV.
Long story: I started the day convinced I would come away with a Sony or a Samsung as a secondary choice. We went to Best Buy in Turkey Creek first. I was brought back down to earth when I saw the prices for even a 40" Sony. So, we went to HH Gregg next. I've never been in one before. Well, I wasn't too thrilled with their selection, and their prices were kind of high. And the salesman wouldn't leave us alone. But somehow, he got this idea that I really want this one tv, so he goes and checks the stock. They're out, so he checks with management. They bump me up to the next size for the same price...but they're out of those, too. So he bumps me up to the next biggest. This was a big tv. And an expensive one--way out of my range. But they were offering it half-price. Even the salesman seemed shocked. Problem is, I'm staring at this tv, and I just can't make myself like it. It's an LG brand (I know nothing about) and they've just got some low-def ball game on. Dad was sold, but I talked him into checking somewhere else. We go to Sams (was not impressed), then Wal-Mart (not a big selection). Then, I ask him to stop by the other Best Buy on our way back just so I can be sure. There, in the front, was the exact same tv for the same (full) price, but with an HD demo. I was sold. We marched right out of there, went back to HH Gregg, and bought that sucker.
So, I got a 47" 1080p 240hz LED LCD tv for half-price. o.O' WTH... Even the guy who took it to the car, when he saw the receipt, he was like, "How the heck did you get this???"
We haul it into my house. The box takes up my living room. We pull the tv out and put in on my little stand. HOLY CRAP. Now, 47" may not be that impressive to some of you, but put it in my little living room, and I've got a home theatre. All I need now is to get some HDMI cables.
Dad's signing up for Hi-def satellite since we'll have two tv's to use it, now.
*dances* I'm excited. Now I need to actually do my taxes to get the refund that was meant to pay for this mess. :D

Anywho, I hope you guys had an awesome weekend, too! Jenny, it was great hanging out, and I wish you could have joined us, Liz. Let's plan something soon.
Love!
