Tree goblin head
I have had this idea bumbling about in my head for some time now. I have had the half started tree sitting on my shelf for a few months. I had really wanted to start on another doll today, either a beaded mermaid or this fairy I want to do inspired by this dead bug I have sitting on my shelf (behind glass of course). But alas, my supplies are not cooperating! This latest block of clay is reeeeealllly soft, so it sits leaching silently beneath a pile of big,heavy books.
What to do. This has been how I have worked this project since the start, when there is nothing else. The sculpting of the goblin tree presents with some rather technical challenges for me, which is I think why I leave it sit for so long between working on it. So anyhow, here is some tree armature, and the head of one of the tree goblins. I'm not telling the rest of the idea for the piece, you'll just have to watch it take shape!
