and things got hectic again ^__^
dang, I meant to post sooner but I kinda got sidetracked. :P bad girl.
see, last week was the Sinulog. basically a local festival celebrating the coming of Christianity here in Cebu (and eventually the rest of the Philippines). Specifically we honor the Sto Nino, the child Jesus. with masses. and street dancing. and general partying. oh and food. :D
Even better, mom came over on Friday and I got to stay with her in her hotel (it was office business after all. she was entitled :D) unitl Monday. XD I do so enjoy spending time with mom. hotel was great too. I mean, cable tv, buffet breakfast, hot water and free wifi!!! in the room. before you had to go to the lobby but now it's right there :D. Needless to say, I made very good use of it XD
I generally hung out with my mom or in the room but we did go see the reenactment of the the first mass on Sat (this involved a very crowded open roofed church when it was raining. and the cell of one of my mom's friends got nicked while we were passing through the crowds :P) Sunday we attended mass with my other relatives and had brunch together cause it was my grandparents' anniversary. :D I didn't watch the dancing myself. I'm not so good with crowds :P but there was news coverage.
Sadly all things have to come to an end. More specifically midterms started ;__; daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang pol sci got moved but dev bio was, as usual, a killer. animal physio was sorta funny cause most of us studied all the student presentations and it turned out that the entire exam only covered the subjects he discussed himself :P still, I don't think I did too badly. biotech wasn't so goo though ;__; I thought I studied but my brain must have had a leak or something :P I guessed so much. bleah.
Next week is the minors. german. pol sci and humanities... basically a written test, the singing (which we hoped she'd forget but alas no dice), test on the bill of rights, deadline for a drawing (and I can't draw) and a test on the aspects of visual art. fun!
