I heard you guys were going down for the MSI concert on the 14th. I'd be super-keen to go, but my car is at the "Probable Exploding" point, if the wheel just doesn't fall off instead.

And I can pay gas. :)

I will have to get back to you on that one. I am not sure yet to be honest how much room we will have going down and back. But once I do, I will let you know.

Alright. ASAP is cool, since I've got people waiting to hear from me on whether I'm going or not (and so I can buy the ticket before it sells out or such).

On a side note, is there anything going on tonight? I'm rather bored, and my usual drinking partner went and got himself a job.

But that's ok, because I got to finish a trilogy while drinking chai at the Cat. And it's hard to beat those two things.

Okay . . . there MIGHT be room in the car . . . you will not be able to stay at Mutt's so you woudl have to find another place. And other than that . . . not to be rude or crude, but you are on your own until we leave Chicago. I will give you my cell number so that we can get ahold of each other once we are there . . . and I think we will be leaving on Thursday before the 14th . . . the 13th i think . . .

Any problems with this, let me know and we can tlak about it

I already talked to Mutt, and know I can't stay there. I've already got a place to crash. Several of them, actually. I've even got transport lined up from Mutt's to where I'm going, so it won't even put you out of your way. I'm not looking to crash y'all's party; just looking for as an inconvenient ride south as possible. I wouldn't normally have asked (though carpooling with gas prices so high is a good idea lately), but my housemate/manager is threatening to slash my tires in order to prevent me from taking my car.

What time is departure on Thursday then? I got approved for Friday off today, but Thursday could get trickier. (And I'm giving up the biggest SCA event of the summer; ah well) I'd just as soon not take more off then I needed to.

i need to figure out when we are leaving, if it is Friday, then it will be about 8am . . . or osmething like that. I will know more when i am actually awake and can calculate time, lol

Well, so far I can leave as of 5pm Thursday. If I have to, I can ask for more time off, but I'd rather not. (Boss gets cranky when half his labor force isn't there)

I can also drive if needbe, though I've been accused of not speeding enough.

okay, that works. We will leave when you get off of work. Will that be a problem for your ride to pick you up that late?

And if it will not be a problem, we will be leaving about noon on Sunday . . . if that is a problem, let me know.

That's fine. Kristin is my ride out of Waukegon; if all else fails, I've got more then enough contacts I can tap late at night to bail out. It'll only be midnight by that point (approx).

Noon on Sunday is cool too.

I hate to do this . . . but I cannot go after all. If you have already gotten your ticket, I will repay you for it since it is my fault that I am not going.
