Recently did a commission, took tons of WIP photos -still working on editing those, but here's a couple pics. of the mask finished. WIP photos soon to be posted in my google artblog (the addy can be found in my Userinfo.)
*completely hand-sculpted and painted, One of A Kind!
-I adore how beautifully the horns turned out.:D
The backside:
-I recently bought myself an inexpensive off-brand Dremel tool (my first ever power-tool!!) and was very excited to use the sanding heads on this mask. Usually I use an exacto-blade to trim off excess clay and to smooth out rough edges...which has led to bloody fingers on more than one occasion. Not cool and not always the cleanest looking job, either. Now I feel all "professional"-like with my Dremel tool. The sanding head smoothed out the rough edges BEAUTIFULLY!!! The mask really looked great by the time I was done with it.:)
-I was very thankful that my pack-rat ways finally came in handy when I realized that I still had safety glasses and a mouth/nose mask I had squirreled away into my craft supplies some time ago. With all the dust and debris flying through the air, I needed those!!!
This bad boy was a commission for a friend, so it's not currently available. This is the second Goblin mask I've made and the second mask I've made in this style. I really like it.:D
