Dalek in a pond

I read this story and really loved it. Not least because the picture of it all covered in mud and weeds is actually kinda creepy and it makes me think 'What if Daleks did exist and this one was there from some battle years and years ago? Or maybe it was part of a preliminary investigative mission and got trapped? Maybe the Daleks are preparing to invade!'
Okay, so it's impossible because you know, Daleks don't exist, but still. I enjoy thinking about the possibilities...
