Doctor Who: The Girl in the Fireplace

Well, this one was somewhat different, wasn't it? As I watched it, I liked it, but it didn't have me loving it as much as last week's, or the first one. My collected thoughts are behind the cut, complete with some musings on the dynamic between the Doctor and Rose.

Came over from... time_and_chips I think it was and I have to say you've pretty much nailed my own reactions to the episode. It's good, the acting was wonderful, but it was definitely not great. The moments made this episode, the story was a little weak.

One thing about the Doctor perhaps feeling like a third wheel with Mickey on board, Rose's reactions to Mickey early in the episode were a complete about-face from her immediate reaction to him asking to come with at the end of School Reunion. She was very 'touchy-feely' with him, hand holding, linking arms, giggling - perhaps the Doctor was picking up on that and reacting to it?

It could be, I suppose, but travelling with her for that long, surely he knows she didn't want Mickey on board? Mickey is a friend to her, so she's always going to be pleased to see him, but perhaps not in that way...

V for Vendetta? I've not seen it, so I wouldn't know. :)
