Success
8 Months ago I managed to convince the biggest crush of my life to go out with me.
And -- amazingly -- he is still somehow attracted to me.... despite 8 months of separation, of me whining about my appearance or stressing about my homework, of forgetting to call him, of blatantly cheating on him with Edward Cullen and Dean Winchester. Despite all my nerdiness, and awkwardness, and imperfection, the crazy guy is still in love with me.
Pretty awesome, right? :)
I'm pretty excited about it myself. :D
I'm having a pretty decently good day. Church was great this morning - I really like the Foursquare Church here, and I coincidentally ended up sitting next to some other really cool people from the play, so it was great getting to know them better. Then I continued my taste-testing of coffeeshops and did some homework at Cornerstone Coffee, which was not my favorite, but was a GREAT place to study. Very little distraction, and whatnot. Last night I did MAJOR cleaning of my room AND I did my laundry -- so I'm also still feeling a slight high from being so productive. And I have roughly 40% of my homework done, which is considerably more than I usually have done by 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. *pats herself on the back*
I now have to write a paper on the positives and/or negatives of Medieval Christianity. We're allowed to write it about whatever aspect of Christianity we want, so I've decided to defend the spiritual ideals of the Fransiscans and Dominicans (monks) of that time. There are other parts of that era of Christianity that I disapprove of -- *cough*CRUSADES*cough* -- but I think that I can defend a pretty good thesis on the Fransiscans. They were pretty decent guys, and geez, there are about a billion Bible verses I can quote for their "Give up everything for God" ideology. It should be fairly easy to finish quickly, but I haven't even really started yet, so thats the main goal of the afternoon.....apart from strategizing how the HECK i'm going to remember the key signatures of MODES!!!!! Dang you, music theory exam, for killing my spirit.
lol some girl on my floor is listening to the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack. My day just went up like 15 points.
I might go ice skating later tonight with some of the Macy 2 Girls.
