jazz dance

I was sitting in a jazz bar earlier tonight listening to the music and watching people dance. It might be the fact I'm a visual person, but what really struck me in that situation was the extent to which good dancing is a language. Just watching pairs of people communicate seamlessly and instantly using only subtle motions in order to let the other know what they're doing next was fascinating. My more musically inclined friends seemed to focus more on the music, which was good, but that doesn't speak to me the same way. I remember the music being enjoyable, but nothing specific about it, the visuals stay with me a lot more.
