cactus update
So, since my last post about the cactus it has sprouted many more of those branch things. In fact, it looks a little bit like this:
Note that the longest one of the branch appendages has taken root in the ground it was placed in. So the purpose of the growths is now clear. Why it needs so many of them is still an open question. The fact it stands over my head while I sleep is slightly disquieting. It is still small enough that I believe I could fend it off if it came down to that.
