so amy is in town for a doctor's appointment and i met up with her and danny for dinner at the vortex followed by gelato at paolo's and lo and behold, the elusive paolo was there! the man himself! i am happy to report that he's actually quite a friendly and approachable guy, not the hyper mad willy-wonka-scary type he seems from the food network ( Read more... )

i was so tempted!! i was actually awe-struck like a fresh faced school boy, it was slightly embarassing. he actually asked me if i've been there before (what a flirt) and i was just about to say "i'm paolo too!" when he turned away to serve the next customer. i figure i can stalk the joint and come in if he's inside. i could introduce myself then because we'd be friends and not acquaintances anymore.

and yes goddammit it was a real cone no quotation marks!
