a random update on life
Hello all! Look! It has been less then a month and I’m updating! Progress. Though, my last post was more an outpouring of Torchwood love/obsession than a proper update. The love, by the way, is still going strong. I am making my way through the first season of Doctor Who and am desperately searching for a long swishy military coat. Oh, Jack. *sigh*
Life has been good. Life has been busy. I was sick last week but am feeling much better now. Of course it happened on my busiest day when I had a million things that I COULDN’T MISS. I suffered onward with a slightly glazed expression and a throaty voice that has since turned into a hello-I-have-a-head-cold voice.
I don’t know about everybody else, but I am completely sick of the weather behaving like a yoyo. One day it feels like spring, the next I come out of the movie theater (300 OMG) to find it has begun SNOWING. Again! I am so over snow. It thinks it can get away with showing up now after it stood me up in December, but I have a long memory and I’m not letting this one go.
I am addicted to The Sartorialist. In all the magazines I read the on the street style is always my favorite part. Seeing actual people dressing wonderfully and differently in clothes they chose and put together themselves inspires me no end. Suddenly I can see ten new wardrobe possibilities that never would have occurred to me last week. I have this habit of just wearing comfortable work clothes all the time because that’s easy… but it’s also really boring. When I do dress up I feel as though I really stand out because, well, where I live? It’s not exactly NYC. Not a ton of diversity around here. If you wear something funky people stare at you. But that can be really fun.
Must be going now. The latest disc of Doctor Who has just arrived in the mail. I think this is the one where Jack shows up. *squee*
