Easy Does It

It's been a slow day, and possibly one of the worse weeks of the year...let's say Tuesday, Wednesday, and from Friday until this morning. Ryan came to the Methodist Church, which had a very profound move this morning. He wrote a play entitled The Summer Bobby (ie) Lee Turner Touched Me, so I've just had a chance to read it. It was well written, and truly tragic. The way it played out disturbed me to my very being, but then again it fits with the course of this week. Had the whole Porsche thing been the only problem, I think I could have salvaged the rest, but unfortunately when it rains it pours. Good things: got the Clapton tickets, found the last two remaining seats to Alabama's homecoming game, wrote a pretty good tune, and some other things have come together quite well. I should be doing my homework right now instead of posting on a journal that won't make a difference in five years, but it seems I'm better at it around 10 at night. Go figure. Maybe next week will be better, because this one has been to hell and back; oddly enough, it was never just something really bad that happened, but more of a pervading sense of complacency and all around despair that seemed to engulf my house like a fog. I don't know. Maybe waxing poetic will help. Hope so. Saw United 93 last night, and determined it is a better depiction than WTC. No social commentary, no hidden agenda, no big-name stars, just what could be shown as a documentary. It gives a dramatic insight. There are no backstories to the people on the plane, just the actions are shown. Anyway. I'm feeling like perhaps if I can do my homework now and wake up tomorrow, I might be able to leave this whole week behind, so I'll bid you all a fond farewell.
