Human Pinballs

Well that was pretty interesting. I haven't sweat that much in my life. Even the bottom portion of the legs of my jeans were soaked. Hahaa enough about my body's perspiration. That was a crazy concert! I can't believe I actually got to go. I went with my friend Yaya and a couple friends of hers. Funny enough I recognized them from a party I went to a while ago. After waiting in line for about 45 minutes in the freezing cold, we finally got to go in. We got frisked, had our tickets scanned, and walked to the stage. The floor was about 75% filled with still a huge line outside. We made our way to the center and about 10-15 minutes later we felt like crayons in a box. And so it stayed that way until Hellogoodbye's music started picking up. When that happened, Yaya's friend Amy decided to start a mosh pit. She started with me by giving me one hell of a violent shove into this rather large guy. By the time the guy pushed me back in the direction I came from a circle had already been created that highly resembled an electron cloud. It didn't last long since Hellogoodbye's music isn't that hard. During one of their last songs, the lead singer put on a hotdog costume, another band member came out dressed as member of Slipknot, and another was in some green suit. It was a very strange yet entertaining last song performance. The one in the green suit shot streamers/confetti and threw water into the crowed. After that they danced around a bit, played leap frog, picked up the lead singer and swung him around, dove off the stage into the crowd, and then as the song was coming to an end they started tackling each other. Funny band. During the intermissions we made our way through two rows of people to get closer for Panic! At the Disco. After Hellogoodbye was Acceptance. The pits then started to get more vicious. When Panic! was up, things just got ridiculously crazy. I still had my sweatshirt on at this point. They're were multiple pits, perhaps even one giant one and it was almost impossible to get out of. At one point there was no circle. If you can imagine a grain field on a multidirectionaly windy day, that's how the crowed looked. It was so warm and so hard to hard to catch a breath, I'm surprised no one fainted. I almost did! Of course no one else was stupid enough to be wearing a sweatshirt at a sold out Panic! At the Disco Concert. Panic! was the only band I was familiar with so I was able to sing along. I must admit that singing along with a band you like in the middle of an environment like that is one of the best feelings in the world. I did not want to leave, but my body definitely would have overheated if I had stayed in there any longer. I somehow made my way through the crowd and to the bathroom where I splashed water on my face and drank some of it since they were asking $3 for a bottle of water. I left my sweater at the uhh coatcheck for $1 and went straight back into the madness for the remaining songs of Panic! I had no idea where anyone was, but I didn't care much. Finally Academy Is commenced. About 30 seconds into their first song, the moshing started back up, but it never got as bad as when Panic! played. I met up with Amy in the midst of colliding bodies, and stuck with her for the rest of the show. She's intense! I had one hell of a time keeping up with her. At the end we quickly made our way to the doors while the crowed was chanting "One more song!!". I think they ended up playing another song but we wanted to avoid the traffic, so we left.

And so ends my night and unbelievable weekend.
