I'm making a photo essay of "Evil Pictures Liberals Don't Want You To See" of touching photos of both Pres. Bush and soldiers in Iraq. Any contributions would be verrrry appreciated. :-)

Please tell me you're not serious. It's no secret that Mr. Bush spends 1 to 5 minutes with a hand-picked dozen of fresh faces soldiers once every few years. Why is it so sweet for someone masquerading as an airman and veteren to pose for photos with real soldiers?

...and by the way (not that you care), I'm in the middle of an essay due tommorow, and have dealt with a troll in my community all day. I am NOT in the mood for crap like this right now.

Yes, some people pretend to be "fighter aces" and then smirk and shuffle in front of a group of Army veterens to make himself look good after starting a war of choice. :(

Of course I have taken the time to put thought into my political views and opinions. I do not believe that President Bush "smirks and shuffles" so that he can "look good." These are your political views. I do not share them, and that's OK.

Fair enough. Though, photo ops are something that every President does to give themselves a positive image- there's no need to be offended when I point out that Bush also does it. However, there aren't many that play soldier in front of real soldiers with a straight face.

I'm sure that there are pictures that are photo ops, which, like you said, is something all public officials do. But I think the message you are getting at is that Bush is fake when it comes to his affection for the troops. I disagree.

I can hardly peer into his mind to read his feelings, but I do know that he tries to convince people that he was a genuine soldier, and feigns a comradery with the actual soldiers in Iraq. Sending troops into harm's way for one reason, and then making-up another reason, shows a callous disregard for the honor and safety of these soldiers, but that's hardly Bush's fault, I think he just does what he's told.

I only ask you to spend some time- when you have the chance- to put some thought into something so important. I'm sorry to hear about your troll infestation.
