I should have been a rock star

For those of you who follow my musical career, I got to perform before a few hundred people on Wednesday during one of our big provincial meetings of nurse union leaders. My guitar playing budddy Graham had written a song about nurses not being able to retire due to the shortage of nurses in this province. It is called "T'ill I'm 74" and is sung to the tune of "When I'm 64" by the Beatles. We were asked to play it at the meeting. They built us a stage and had both our vocals and accoustic guitars miked. Needlesstosay we were a hit and even received a standing ovation. There is no better feeling than performing on stage before an audience.
And now that I have come down from the high of the performance, I have developed a cold which has kept me home from work. Fortunately I have Nosey to take care of me. Meanwhile, we continue to wait for the "storm of the century" to hit Toronto. We may have to call the army in.....again.
