your breath softly brushing my neck
as i kissed your forehead, your cheeks, your lips
and together we fell asleep, one second in time

so it is you that i recognized
your beautiful eyes that gave my cheek butterfly kisses
blinking ever so softly, then i looked at you
your face looked up at me and lit the void in my mind
filled the emptiness that i've needed for so long
but alas it was only a memory
a memory that did not exist in truth
yet it is still one that i will remember, one second in time.
