The Declaration of The Gay Agenda

Over the course of the past few years it has come to our attention that gays have an agenda. The purpose of this document is to declare the "gay agenda" and clear up any confusion, once and for all just what the gay agenda really is.

First and foremost the gay agenda is to gain social legitimacy. While we do not ask to be considered "normal", we do ask to be seen as an equal alternative. We ask to be seen as legitimate humans, and not viewed as abominations or freaks of nature. We ask that you accept us for who are are, to let us live in peace, and let the gay culture flourish.

The second thing on our agenda is an end to violence against members of the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered communities. We would like to live in a world free of horrendous incidents like the beating death of Matthew Sheppard and other innocent members of this minority, which are deplorable and completely uncalled for. The second point on the gay agenda is to prevent such atrocities, for atrocities they indeed are, from ever taking place.

The third point in the gay agenda is to achieve workplace equality and protections. It is unacceptable that certain minorities are covered under laws regarding job security, but homosexuals and transgendered people are not. We demand an end to the government sanctioned workplace discrimination. We demand that homosexuals and transgendered people recieve equal respect in the eyes of the law.

The final note is not what the gay agenda is about, but what it is not about. We do not seek to convert, nor molest, nor otherwise demoralize your children. We seek a world where people should not be afraid or ashamed of who they are. We do not want people to be afraid to stand up and say "I'm gay". We wish that you do not allow the actions of a very small minority to color your opinions about the rest of us, much the same as we do not assume that all heterosexuals have the same goals as Charles Manson or Joseph Stalin. We ask you to look past that, to the individual. We are not freaks simply because we are different. We do not seek to covet and destroy all things that are not like us, and we only ask the same of everyone.

Signed - Thomas and Zack
