Friday morning I woke up in a lot of pain as is usual now...
I noticed that I was going to be running out of pain-killers...
At about noon I tried phoning my family doctor, and found out that his office closed before noon on fridays. I would have to wait until that evening when my parents returned home so I could get a ride to a walk-in clinic. I also had to wait until Karla got to my house after work so she could help me have a shower.
Hours later, at around 8pm after Karla and my parents were all at my house, I had managed to secure a ride and shower. Karla placed a call to the walk-in clinic. The hours of operation they advertised was from 8am to 12pm.
Upon reaching the clinic we saw a notice placed on the door saying they had decided to close early, at 8pm. The sign also suggested people simply visited the hospital... if they needed to... Upon reaching the hospital we found it completely packed and that the wait was a minimum of six hours... Needless to say we decided to leave.
When I reached home I managed to get in touch with Jason and Eric Crepin. Since I couldn't drive, drove from their home in the East end to my home in the opposite end of the city, to pick me up... Eric brought his 2 remaining T2's that he had from getting his wisdom teeth out for me. we then drove out to his place and spent the night playing games...
The next morning, Eric's mom gave me a bunch of T2's she had left from an operation she had to tide me over until I could get drugs myself. She also gave me and Karla a ride home to my place at which point I fell asleep.
Today I managed to get a ride over to the walk-in clinic and had to wait an hour to see the doctor only to find out she refused to prescribe narcotics. The stupid bitch doctor also gave me a lecture on how I should have tried going to the hospital in order to try and see the same doctor to get a refill on my Lenoltec #3 prescription and the evils of painkillers\narcotics, I walked out in the middle of her lecture and told her she was a useless bitch and I didn't need a fucking lecture from her.
When I tried to phone home for a ride I found my sister was on-line and using my parent's cell-phone to talk to her friends so I couldn't get through... Karla managed to convince her mother to give us a ride over to the Queensway-Carleton hospital.
The hospital, very surprisingly wasn't packed or even very busy. (Extremely odd for a Saturday night.) I managed to get through to see a doctor after only 45 mins.
After being reassessed, the doctor gave me a new prescription for more painkillers and told me I should have been given a neck-brace when I had been there previously.
One of the technicians measured me for the neck-brace and gave me one. I was then sent home...
The whole hospital visit only took 1.5 hours!!! I think I set a new record!
On the way home I picked up more painkillers... Finally a cessation to the unremitting bouts of pain.
