So I've been tracking down bound periodicals at the library that are still filed as "out to bindery." Many have been out for years now because they either never made it back from bindery, or because they were sent to other branches upon their return.
I thought that the latter was the case when I went looking for v. 85 of the Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, but I was wrong. This record pertained to...

A PERIODICAL FROM THE FUTURE!

Year 2023, in fact. How we managed to acquire those issues to send them to be bound before they were even published, I do not claim to know, but apparently we did because it is recorded as having been sent out last year. Talk about cutting edge!

My boss hasn't let me in on the whole "subscriptions from the future" thing yet, but it's only a matter of time, I say.
