I'm a huge Christie fan! Thanks to UK and US publishers tending to publish her books under different titles, I have more than one copy of several of her books, too. Hee. When I initially started 'The Mystery List', I was looking for new reads for me, and then it kind of... grew. I should add hers, as they give me great joy; they're some of my favourite 'comfort' books, despite the subject matter. (My favourite of hers still remains Come, Tell Me How You Live, which is a non-fiction memoir; have you read this? Delightful!)
I always wonder what Christie would have thought of David Suchet; she admired the actors who had portrayed Poirot during her time, but she certainly was vocal about how they didn't quite fit the role. I think she would have liked Suchet; he's the definitive Poirot for me!
I should add Raymond Chandler - nothing wrong with the classics! (Good thing I remembered to include Sherlock Holmes.)
I read the first of McCall Smith's series; they were so popular here for a while that I was #300 or so on the library wait list, and I ended up reading other things; now that some time has passed, I should go back to these. I'm looking forward to the TV version.
(Ooh, Amazon tells me there will be an English version next year!)
I'm going to note this one - intriguing!
And thank you for the Index link - I too know the frustration of trying to figure out where to begin with a series. I also find Fantastic Fiction to be a good site for series lists, and for upcoming releases, too.

Ah, more to read! Thank you!
