Ill-Famed and Suspected by Elspethdixon, Seanchai
Fandoms: Les Misérables - Victor Hugo
Tags: Rape/Non-Con, Grantaire/Original Male Character, Grantaire/Jean Prouvaire, Enjolras/Grantaire, Grantaire (Les Misérables), Jean "Jehan" Prouvaire, Enjolras (Les Misérables), Les Amis de l'ABC, Canon Era, One-Sided Enjolras/Grantaire, Oblivious Enjolras, Victim Blaming, Implied/Referenced Alcohol Abuse/Alcoholism
Summary: Les Amis de l'ABC have acquired a new member, one who's friendly, good-looking, and dedicated to the cause. Unfortunately for Grantaire, he turns out to be nowhere near as pleasant as he seems.

Why recced: Because it's a) the most recent fic I (well, technically we completed, and b) corny as this sounds, I feel like both of us stretched our boundaries on this one, both in terms of trying to write in a style that was a little more formal than usual, writing actual sex scenes that used actual nouns to describe actual body parts (turns out non-con is inexplicably less embarrassing to write than sex that's supposed to actually be sexy), writing a different set of characters after several years of Marvel fic, and in terms of subject matter. I think this is also the first long fic I've written either solo or with Seanchai that doesn't have an action B plot or even a single action scene.
An Epic Steve/Tony Saga, by Thor OdinsonFandoms: Marvel
Tag: Poetry
Summary: A Steve/Tony fanfic in verse, as written by Thor.
Words: very, very short
Why recced: Because it's over two years later and I still think it's funny. Even if I did get lazier near the end of the actual poem bit when I realized that doing every line in iambic quartameter would give me two stressed syllables on either side of the caesura without my having to think about it, and abandoned actually trying to write Anglo-Saxon verse in favor of cheating at it. The text descriptions of the stuff I didn't bother writing are the best parts anyway.
No Drowning MarkFandom: Pirates of the Caribbean
Tags: James Norrington/Jack Sparrow, Alternate Universe
Summary: Norrington returns home to find an unexpected guest in his rooms.
Words: 3,156
Why recced: This was written as a pinch hit for a PotC fandom fic exchange (I still feel vaguely guilty that it turned out both better and longer than my actual assigned recipient's fill), and I think it came out really atmospheric and effective despite being a pairing that I didn't generally ship. I think I did a better job on Jack Sparrow's voice in this ficlet than I did in any of the other fics I wrote for this fandom.
