Yuletide!
So, I participated in Yuletide this year! It was awesome! I was really happy to have a reason to write, and for an underappreciated fandom which I adore. Though this brought home how terribly out of practice I am with writing anything other than drabbles or for rp. I need to work on that before next year. More on my dissatisfaction with my writing will be the subject for another post. But my recipient managed to say something nice about it, and I actually got another positive comment, so!
Anyway, I was really happy just trying to contribute, and so was very happy with that. Believe it or not, I wasn't actively looking forward to getting a story.
And then I got mine, a post-canon Homeward Bounders fic done in Jamie's first-person voice. And it made me very excited and very happy and more than a little heartbroken in just the right way. Thank you so much author, you are incredibly talented and I have read that story three times now.
In short, yay Yuletide!
