Wet phones are not happy phones

Evidently I a) put my cell phone in a part of my bag where I never normally put it, b) had a leaking ice pack, and c)combined the two for just long enough to get the phone wet enough to die. The ice bags literally went from my car seat to my bag to be carried 50 yards into my home, and then I immediately put them into the freezer. I didn't pull out my phone until tonight. I thought it was odd that I had turned it off, and then I realised it was wet. I dried it off and we'll see what happens in the morning, but I suspect it won't reanimate. It's dead, Jim.

Any recommendations on a reliable, lightweight cell phone without any major bells and whistles? It was a Kyocera 2325 and I loved it. =-( Anyone out there have reccomendations for a provider (especially if you know about the Davis area)? I've been doing fine with Verizon for two years. . . Thanks for any thoughts!
