Calling all Dartmouth alumni!!

Is anyone reading LJ right now?  Does anyone care deeply about the constitution vote and want to throw advice at me?

Thank you for responding so fast. I was actually considering calling you to ask your opinion if you didn't LJ! ;-)

I have found alumni that I know and respect on both sides of this vote. Ditto for alumni organizations. I am kicking myself for not spending time this weekend reading more. When even national newspapers are running opinions on it, you'd think I could have gotten my act together faster!

I did find it interesting that the more liberal Dartmouth Free Press is against it. The NYTimes piece offered things I liked and things that worried me. The Wall Street Journal piece totally rubbed me the wrong way.

I guess I, too, just don't care that much about the minor details. I do, however, want to feel confident in my vote.

Oh, and you'll love this. I am actually in class right now. I'd like to think researching for a vote is a more noble reason for not paying attention than the activities that drive you nuts when you lecture. ;-)

My father had exactly the same thought process.
