What to say.
Monday was amazing. It was my first show at the Common Ground in Brattleboro, Vt. Show that I booked, not played, unfortunatly. Still don't quite have a band together. The bands that played were: Amanda Woodward, Ampere, Carrier, Daniel Striped Tiger, and La Mi Vida Violenta.
The show started much later than it should because one of the drummers for La Mi Vida was nowhere to be found and all of Daniel Striped Tiger's equipment was in La Mi Vida's van down in Chicopee, Ma. So it finally started after 8 before 9 sometime.
Daniel Striped Tiger went on first and they were really good. I think I am going to have them play my show on August 12th.
La Mi Vida Violenta started setting up during the first band and still took a half hour to set up once the other band had stopped. I asked them very nicely to play only a 25-30 min set since the show started so late and thats what everyone's sets were like. They completely ignored that and played for like 45 minutes and then took another 30 min to break down. Rediculous. Then one of them came up to me after they were all packed up and the show was nowhere near over and said, "Um, are we getting paid for this or should we just go". I shouldn't have paid them but I did. Carrier went on after them and were pretty darn good. Hrishikesh from the One Am Radio is in that band and is the nicest guy in the world.
Amanda Woodward went on second to last. They are from France and are fucking amazing. The singer came out in a wig, barney rubble type vest and leggings, huge sun glasses, and one crutch. All of which I think he got at the thrift store down the street. They were incredible. Though the lead singer did smell quite terrible.
Ampere played last to make sure everyone stayed for Amanda Woodward. Almost everyone stuck around for them which was awesome. They are by far one of my favorite bands and some of my favorite people ever too. The bassist, Meghan, helped me with the show and wants to colaborate on more shows. She is the most enthusiastic person ever. They were so good. The cops came during their set because of a noise complaint but we just closed the windows and finished the show.
Ahh, such a fun night. There was a good amount of people there even though there were quite a few people that werent there that I hoped would be. Hopefully the word will spread and more people will come out to my shows.
Hung out at the diner afterwards with Robin and Sylvie. Pretty much the only people I ever hang out with. Kinda depressing third wheel style.
They are great but it kinda bugs me how they are so darn happy with eachother and I am completly miserable all the time. Like right now.

Yeah, there are sidewalk sales all weekend in Brattleboro. I have to be in Brattleboro at 9:30 to set up the tables and stuff on the sidewalk. I am meeting the owner there at that time. I don't know if I will be able to deal with him that early and half asleep. Who knows, sometimes he is fun to work with. But not usually. Tommorow night I am booking it down to Cromwell, CT as soon as I get out of work at like 5 or 6 to go see Hot Cross, Transistor Transistor, The One Am Radio, Malady, and The And The Children. I'm going by myself I guess. Saturday I work from 1-10:30. Sunday I work 10:30-7:30 and then the next morning I have to be in Brattleboro at 4:30AM to drive this somewhat creepy gay man down to the airport in Hartford. He is paying me $60 plus breakfast. He is a nice guy and I know him from working there but he is still a tad creepy and overly talkative. I don't know how I will deal with him that early in the morning. I am hopefully dragging Robin along for the ride. I fucking hope I am.

Anyways, there ya go. I'm sorry if you read all that but if you had as much to do with your free time as me you probly did read it all. Blah blah blah im lonely and tired and hungry.

Goodnight.
