Amazingly, right on the heels of my
spewing last night, I've been angered enough to actually write another rant. Updating my personal site this time, here's a snippet from my latest rage-against-the-ma-tarded.
Because it's Always Someone-Else's Fault
In the now venerated US tradition of so many others over so many years, yet
another lawsuit is being wrought against the wrong damn person. In this case,
a 14-year-old Texas girl is suing the ubiquitous
MySpace because she was sexually assaulted by a fellow user
she met through the service. I heard this on NPR this morning, the story having
been syndicated in the Associated Press. Read the article

The gist of it is that this little girl (and yes, 14 is still a little girl)
was (gasp) lied to by some 19-year-old piece of shit who met up with her and sexually
assaulted her. So, the little girl is now suing MySpace because it has absolutely no meaningful protections or security measures to protect underage
users.
