Hello from New York city
This post is gonna be short and sweet because I haven't really done much. I'm currently in New York City at the Ramada hotel near the airport! Woohoo!
This morning I woke up at 8am because I was so excited to get going. It was a good thing too because I ended up having to leave early because I forgot to take out my american cash. Jason came and picked me up early as I quickly said goodbye to my kitty and my mom. I got my cash and off I went to Jason'shouse to get his mom and dad and they drove us to the airport for 10:30ish. It was pretty empty so we sailed right through everything. Customs was a breeze and we were in 'america' by 11am so we had a little breakfast at starbucks and then we bought gum anda magainze and sat down near our gate to wait. We boarded at 12:45 and left around 1:15. It was a super fast flight. It's funny though because the plane was TINY. We felt the turbulance a little though but it was okay. I liked watching the clouds around me. :)
Finally we arrived in New York at about 2:45 and then off we went to get baggage and then the air train to our shuttle and finally to the hotel! WOOSH! I had a headache by then but we met up with Umair and Jen in our hotel room. I wasvery happy to make it and I took a tylenol. We looked at some new photos the wedding photographer put up of Jen's wedding. They're really really nice! :)
Then we took a nap and went down for supper. None of us were really up to touring the city. I was exhausted and starving and yeah- the buffet made me feel much better. The soup was really really good. ^__^
Well that brings me up to date. I'm just typing in here because now there's nothing to do... we're watching the olympics on TV which I find rather boring. I only really like gymnastics- maybe a few others summer sports. :/ Ah well.
Also, I was just told I could get charged a LARGE tax on my laptop when I get to grenada! :( Possibly 100$ which is nuts! That's 1/4th of my spending money. Ugh.... I was thinking maybe 15$. :p
Anyway! Tis enough... I think I want to take a nice shower.
